I hold psychotherapy as a devotional practice. In the weekly ritual of therapy, I hold space for a creative and playful exploration of the psyche. Through a continuous commitment and recommitment to presence and curiosity, we open the way for the unknown to be transformed into meaning. This opening is a portal into intergenerational healing work, where energy can return to us as we reconnect with our roots and unearth our true Selves.
I have dedicated myself to working at the intersection of social and spiritual liberation. My studies in the Integral Counseling Psychology program at the California Institute of Integral Studies have supported me in this orientation through a lens of depth psychology. My experience in community mental health settings has trained me to meet my clients with cultural humility, equipping me with liberation psychology and healing justice frameworks. My previous training as a birth worker helps me to conceptualize the work of therapy as a practice of birthing that which seeks to be born.
We all deserve to return to the feeling and experience of belonging — to ourselves and our bodies, to our communities and the world around us. In our practice, you will be witnessed as you recover what was lost and uncover what feels new. Being trauma-informed, our work together will flow at the pace of safety and trust. I am here to guide your awareness toward the body, as you feel ready, so that you might better understand its messages for you, hearing its wisdom. It would be an honor to accompany you on this journey, as we devote ourselves to this healing work together.
