Patricia Pop

Trainer

Dr. Patricia Pop (she/her) is a licensed psychiatrist with a whole-person approach to mental health. She combines psychotherapy, lifestyle medicine (stress, sleep, eating, and mind-body practices), and medications when appropriate. Dr. Pop treats a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and other common and complex conditions. Her approach emphasizes warmth, openness, empathy, and nonjudgement. She has particular interest in working with experimental therapies, psychodynamic psychotherapy, exploring root causes and how past experiences might affect our current lives, and CBT, which focuses on how our thoughts and behaviors impact our wellbeing.

Dr. Pop aims to stay current with trauma-informed, LGBTQ+ affirming, and culturally sensitive care, acknowledging the impact that trauma, stress, and systemic influences like racism and discrimination can have on mental health.

Dr. Pop enjoys working with adults in Palo Alto and via telemedicine across the State of California.

Dr. Pop earned her MD at Columbia College of Physicians & Surgeons in New York. She then completed psychiatric residency training at Stanford with a psychodynamic fellowship through the San Francisco Center for Psychoanalysis.
